The yacht club is home to a range of sailing events each year, one such event being “Cork Week” (formerly known as Ford week) which is Ireland’s largest international sailing regatta. The event is held in July every two years where entrants travel from all over the world travel to Crosshaven to enjoy one of the world’s premier sailing events. There is also great history behind this walk as the old Cork to Crosshaven railway line used to run along the walkway from 1904 to 1932.
